The purchase of aqua aid water cooler machines has enabled Blue Castle to donate to The Africa Trust and supply fresh water pump to a community in Africa.
The purchase of AquAid water coolers has enabled Blue Castle to help The Africa Trust supply fresh water pumps to communities in Africa.
The Blue Castle Group is very aware of the need to keep our team of energy consultants and support staff well hydrated. The human body is made up of approximately 60% water, so it's no surprise that proper hydration is crucial to a variety of essential functions that can impact performance.
Our investment in three AquAid water coolers means that we can help our team to perform at their very best throughout the working day, whilst also benefiting communities in Africa. Each purchase of an AquAid water unit results in an automatic donation to the Africa Trust who install water pumps called 'elephant pumps'. To date, more than £4.6m has been spent building over 5,000 elephant pumps - bringing life saving water pumps to over 933,000 people!
Elephant pumps are a modified version of an age old Chinese rope pulley system providing clean and fresh drinking water for local people. We are pleased to announce that an elephant water pump is currently being installed in Africa on our behalf.
The Africa Trust works to bring sustainable solutions to poverty in Africa. This includes establishing sustainable supplies of clean productive water and decent sanitation.
Blue Castle Group is committed to supporting charitable organisations. Over the last two years we have supported a number of charities and a number of us, including CEO Marie Harley, trekked the Sahara Desert!
In total during 2017 we raised a massive £7,801.86 for charities such as Cancer Research UK, MacMillan Cancer Support, Diabetes UK, Beaumond House.
We hope this list goes on and we can continue to provide generous support throughout 2018.
